Buyer FAQ

Technical information for industrial substrate and biomass importers.

What are the main industrial uses?
Corncob is widely used as a carrier for agricultural chemicals, an abrasive for metal finishing, a substrate for mushroom cultivation (especially oyster and shiitake), and as a renewable biomass fuel for industrial boilers.
Can you customize the grit size?
Yes. We can grind and screen corncob to your specific mesh size requirements, ranging from coarse grit for blasting to fine flour for chemical carriers.
How is it protected during transit?
We perform mandatory fumigation (Methyl Bromide or Heat Treatment) for all export shipments and use silica gel desiccants in containers to prevent moisture re-absorption during sea transit.
What is the caloric value?
As a biomass fuel, Indonesian corncob typically has a gross caloric value of approximately 4,000 – 4,400 kcal/kg (dry basis), making it an efficient coal alternative.
